June events in Asheville, NC

Things are heating up for the summer here in Asheville, NC, and the staff at Hill House Bed and Breakfast are looking forward to a summer of good music, exciting events, and the beautiful lush Blue Ridge Mountains. Here are some of our favorite hand picked June events to enjoy around town while staying with us at Hill House Bed and Breakfast.

Hosted by Brother Wolfe, the largest no-kill animal rescue in North Carolina, the Asheville Veganfest on June 8th-10th offers a chance to educate yourself on this healthy, plant based diet and to try some delicious and creative vegan cuisine. What makes this event purrrrrrrfect is that it helps to support our beloved furry friends and their care and wellbeing! Also worth noting, we here at Hill House B&B are pleased to offer upon request tasty Vegan breakfast options such as our Tofu Scramble.

During the same weekend in Asheville, also check out some great art and music at Cold Mountain Music Fest, June 8th-9th or Xpand Fest, June 9th.

Ready to really let loose after a long work week? The streets of downtown Asheville will liven up on June 15th with the popular Downtown After 5 event hosted monthly by the Asheville Downtown Association. This month’s headliner, Town Mountain, is sure to rock the stage and is described by the association as a “unique bluegrass sound spiced with country, old school rock, and boogie woogie”.

Still got your dancing shoes on? Head out to the funky streets of West Asheville for the lively All Go West Music Festival June 16th-17th. This event is sure to appeal to all types of musical tastes with 6 stages of both indoor and outdoor and dozens of local and and visiting musicians.

Interested in Asheville’s flourishing beer scene? Then be sure to head out to Sierra Nevada’s Beer Camp on June 16th. This event will offer dozens of games, a ropes course, climbing wall, keg bowling, Hammer-Schlagen, and of course the delicious tastes of Sierra Nevada’s hand-crafted beers.

Finishing out the month, make sure to check out Hola Asheville on June 23rd and take in the sights and sounds of over 20 countries that make Latin America the rich cultural sensation that it is today! Or enjoy touring some of Western North Carolina’s most successful and productive farms during ASAP’s (Appalachian Sustainable Agriculture Project) Farm Tour on June 23rd-24th and get an up and close understanding of the regions rich agricultural scene with guided tours, demonstrations, tastings and more.
