Shop Asheville Antique Stores

Do you enjoy hunting for unique antique treasures?  Hill House Bed and Breakfast features five antique stores here in Asheville, North Carolina.

Antique Tobacco Barn located in the Biltmore Antiques District (at 75 Swannanoa River Rd) displays the finds of more than 75 dealers in a more than 70,000 square-foot space.  This includes antique furniture, clocks, lamps, dinnerware, and flatware as well as all sorts of unusual and unique items.  In 2005, a flood ruined their merchandise, but thanks to donations of antiques from places like Grove Park Inn and the Biltmore Estate, they could stay in business.  They are consistently ranked the best antique store in Western North Carolina in part due to their great selection and good prices.

Bryant Antiques (at 120 Swannanoa River Rd, Hwy 81), features more than 70 dealers in a clean 9,000 square-foot heated and air-conditioned environment. They offer “treasures from funky to fancy.”  The ever-changing collection includes estate jewelry, vintage clothing, sterling, objects d’art, ephemera, kitchen items, fine china, textiles, quilts, chandeliers and other lighting.  Bryant Antiques offers multi-piece discounts.  Michelle Dockery, best known as Lady Mary Crawley of the public television series Downtown Abbey, shopped in both the Antique Tobacco Barn and Bryant Antiques during her visit to Asheville.

Oddfellows Antique Warehouse (at 124 Swannanoa River Rd) has a huge inventory of furniture and decorative accessories.  The store has a wide variety of items including some very unusual (or odd) items like the name of their business suggests.  Choices include stained glass windows and plenty of metal architectural pieces that can be used in any home design.

Nostalgique Antiques (at 126 Swannanoa River Rd) offers a mix from traditional to mid-century modern antiques a 6,000 square-foot space.  Their shop full of handpicked European imports is also located in the Biltmore Antiques District.

Sweeten Creek Antiques (at 115 Sweeten Creek Road) offers a variety of well-organized antiques from collectibles to small furnishings.  Looking for stained glass, vintage cookware, or antique books?  Sweeten Creek Antiques has all that and more.
